Natural Soy Candles | Shelley Homemade Candles

Hello I’m Shelley and if like me you simple love candles, you need to read on about the beauty of natural soy candles and my inspiration behind them.

Candles made from soy wax are made from a natural wax made from soybeans. Soybeans are very safe and are used as a food source and to make many products, including cosmetics. Using natural wax for candles is nothing new, since they are made with natural wax, they produce less soot and hold fragrance better.

I live in Lancashire and I am a part time nail technician and now a part time candle maker too! During lockdown I was unable to do my job, so with plenty of time on my hands I decided to make natural soy candles.  I love candles but was always wary of what they contain and toxins they burn off as I am a total animal lover! I have 3 spaniels which are my world!!  So I wanted to make candles that are natural and safe to burn around animals.  I now have 25 + different fragrances.

My personal favourites are Mandarin & Sandalwood, Tobacco & Oak, Black Cherry, Pink Grapefruit and Sandalwood & Black Pepper.

My favourite Shops on the platform are:

Little Miss Mitton – A lovely jewellery seller and my favourite piece is this red and black cameo necklace

Another of my favourites is a fellow Shelley from Charming Gifts She has a variety of lovely pieces of jewellery, I personally like her pentagram set, daisy bracelet and the chakra bracelet of which I showcase.

The Twisted Kitty offers a really wonderful collection of jewellery (can you tell I love jewellery?) I absolutely love the tree wrap pendant, the moon pendant and copper tree of life pendant. Very talented!

It is so wonderful to see a business form from the pandemic and something created with a real love for candles and scents, Shelley Homemade Candles are a lovely gift idea and truly affordable. Here is a link to the Vegan Society for those of you who love vegan eating and lifestyle homewares.
